Acorn Squash with Brown Sugar and Pecans

    Sometimes you have to cook something that’s not meat, and this is probably one of the top options.  Acorn squash is delicious with brown sugar and butter, and the pecans add a little extra awesomeness.  You can cook this in the oven or on the BBQ.

    1. Start by cutting the acorn squash in half
    2. Clean out the seeds using a spoon
    3. Slice cross hatches into the squash, but make sure you don't go too deep that you cut through
    4. Cut that stick of butter in half and put one piece in each half of the squash
    5. Grab 1/4 cup of chopped pecans and chop them up even finer. Then put them into the squash with the butter
    6. Lastly, get 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and split it evenly between the two halves
    7. Throw on the upper rack of your BBQ or in the oven at 350° (try to keep them as flat as possible and away from flame)
    8. Cook until tender, probably about 30-40 minutes
    9. Slice up and serve
