This rub is a little more in depth than some others, but still easily made in under an hour. The only thing that takes time is the lemon zest. For this, we will be using the zest of one large lemon.
Lemon Garlic Rub
Grab yourself a lemon, clean it and using a zester or fine cheese grater get all that yellow off
Put it on a piece of foil and stick it in the oven at 175°. We don't want to cook this, simply dry it out. It should take somewhere around 20 minutes. (You will have to spread it out while it is in the oven)
When fully dry, mix in with other ingredients
When you're done, just mix up the ingredients and apply it to a great piece of meat!
If you are BBQing chicken, I recommend brushing it with some olive oil before adding the rub as this will crisp up the skin and help the seasoning to stick
