Berry Good Smoothie

Smoothies are a delicious way to get your daily fruit or vegetable intake in.  One of my favorite and easiest smoothies to make only has two or three ingredients.

I prefer to use frozen berries for a couple reasons.  First, it’s so much easier to buy a bag of frozen berries than to buy all individual packages of fresh berries, to clean them and then worry about them going bad.  The second reason is that you don’t have to add ice.

Start off by putting about 5-6 inches of frozen berries into your blender.  Then add some coconut milk (you can also use milk or any juice) about halfway up the berries.  Another option is to add a banana or a scoop of vanilla protein powder.

Blend this up well, pour into a glass or bowl, and if you want to get fancy throw some granola on top or even some fresh berries.  You’ve got yourself a delicious breakfast in about 5 minutes.



Frozen berries (usually a combination of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, sometimes cherries)

Coconut milk (or 2% milk or juice of your choice)

This is a quick, delicious, nutritious breakfast.  I give it a 9 out of 10, only because the berries are just a little too tart for my taste.
